Who I am

A Family Tradition Since 1978

Born in Praia a Mare on October 23, 1980, Erminia Guarino's art is rooted in a primordial connection to the land. Born into an artistic family, she learned the secrets of ceramics and sculpture at a very young age in her father Luigi Guarino's (Gino) workshop, "IL COCCIO," cultivating a sensibility that today translates into a personal, authentic, and ever-evolving artistic language.
A graduate of the Cetraro State Art Institute, Ceramist section, and specializing in ceramic restoration, decoration, and medal making, Erminia has developed a recognizable stylistic signature over the years: a tireless formal and material exploration that spans decoration, sculpture, and contemporary design.
Ceramiche Erminia Guarino

"Since I was a child I have felt the need for contact with the earth. Reaching towards my quintessence, through clear shapes and lines
contemporary, I seek chromatic and formal balance.

I am a kind of interpreter who captures the anxieties and hopes of a nature in
struggle, creating BALANCED FORMS, like nature itself.
Experimenting tirelessly, I combine natural and chemical elements to obtain colors close to nature.

Today, MATTER remains the beating heart of my research."

The matter is
The beating heart of her poetics: clays, oxides, natural and metallic glazes blend into works with a strong visual and emotional impact, which narrate the eternal dialogue between nature and balance. Her ceramics are alive, never static, shaped with respect for ancient traditions but projected towards experimental and unique expressive outcomes.

His works, rigorously modeled by hand without the aid of serial reproductions, are born from a refined alchemy between natural elements and chemical treatments, generating vibrant surfaces, pure forms and deep colors that evoke the primordial strength of the earth.

A nationally and internationally recognized artist, Erminia Guarino has exhibited at prestigious art shows in Italy, Spain, and Japan, receiving awards and recognition for the originality and quality of her work.

He is a member of FIDEM (Fédération Internationale de la Médaille d'Art)

He also exhibited art medals with AIAM

She actively collaborates with architects and designers on custom projects, creating unique works for public, private, and institutional spaces: decorative panels, furnishing accessories, art installations, and coverings.

Erminia Guarino doesn't work with ceramics: she lives it. Through earth and fire, she shapes not only forms, but (fragments of the universe)
